Guided Meditation & Cultivating Emotional Balance – Saturdays 11am to 12 @ Hubert St – By Donation

Each session will include guided meditations, a short talk and a discussion drawn from the Cultivating Emotional Balance program.  We will practice meditations to calm the mind, expand our perceptions of the world and cultivate the positive qualities of the heart.

Cultivating Emotional Balance (CEB) is an educational training committed to utilising the experience of emotion as a path for developing the happiness of being for ourselves and in relationship to others.  By integrating the wisdom traditions of modern psychology, current emotion research, and contemplative practices, CEB provides a secular platform for transformation.  With the tools of CEB, we can draw upon our human capacity to wisely and compassionately actualise individual and collective well-being and reform a wholesome relationship with the planet.

Each month we will focus on a different aspect of CEB – outlines of meditations and discussions below:

March: Calming the Mind : mindfulness meditations, the importance of training attention in a distracted world, attentional balance

April: Cultivating Compassion – compassion meditations, empathy vs compassion, interconnected nature of us the world

Beginners Hatha Yoga Course – starts 22 Feb

Five week course – Mondays 6:15 – 7:15pm @ Hubert St – with Jude, $90

Starts Monday 22 February 2021 – note that 1 March is PH and no class that Monday

For those new to yoga or continuing on from the previous course, this course will introduce you to a sequence of postures (asanas) and give you an understanding of the foundations of hatha yoga practice.

This course will focus on strength building postures and gentle stretching, as you are guided through the yoga postures (asana), breathing techniques (pranayama) and meditations.  The aim is that you body will have more freedom and less tightness, and your mind will be more clear and calm.

What you will learn/ experience:

  • The foundational postures of hatha yoga
  • Instructions on how to bring safe and correct alignment and engagement in the postures
  • Guidance though breathing techniques and how to link those with the movements
  • Foundational meditations and relaxations

Immersed in the earth in the spacious Cabaret Caves in Yanchep, Clare and Jude are offering a deeply grounding and heart moving experience of yoga and sound.

Visually amazing and acoustically sensational, Cabaret cave is an extraordinary unique space to practice yoga and immerse in healing sound.

Jude will guide you through a grounding yoga practice + all levels of yoga experience welcome.  We will have a short break for chai and cacao (tea), followed by an relaxing and mesmerising sound experience with Clare.

Park admission and parking is included in the ticket, so you may like to enjoy the morning walking in the bush before the session starts.
